Just a small project I set for myself. I wanted to make a robot cat and made it up as I went along... and this is how it ended up. I’m pretty happy with it. Though I have posed it, it is not rigged for animation as of yet. The bones and weights are there, I just need to figure out a good way to add in the IK and make it easier to use. I’m sure it will happen one day. All done in Light Wave 9.6 with some textures done in Photoshop.

Nice work Cat's, maybe if I can find some time, I can get a friend of mine to print it and I'll clean up a copy for you. ;)

May cost you though. I'm thinking a complete set of Cyan games in their original boxes.:P

I'd like to put in my pre-order for a chrome model. I like the edition of rubber paw pads to this model. The old model really chewed up my hard wood floors.

I'm really digging the whole chest area.

The blue sensor on the front looks a bit bland. Maybe add some light behind it or give it a nice transparent texture.

:giggle: lol . funny you should say that. i was doing some more renders last night and thought, thats just not right. the blue bit at the front dose need something... :nerd: .now i have made a half way good rig for it so im going to see what i can do with it :onfire: .

Excellent, I'd love t see him moving around. Is he going to be kinda jerky like the current robo animals, or well in advance? Maybe you could do an animation of him first being turned on and starting off jerky/falling over before he learns how to balance/move/whatever?
